anchor pods

I'm am looking to get one of those tables that hook to the outside of the motorhome, however, is it okay to screw something into the side of the motorhome? I see the table needs to be held up with anchor pods so I wanted to get anybody's opinion about them. Thanks.

RE: kitten loves water

I have five indoor cats and they all love to play in the bathtub with the water coming out of the faucet. I turn it on slow and they like putting their paws in the water and try to catch it in their mouths! One cat, as soon as he hears running water is right at the sink.

RE: A Universal Greeting when on the Highway

Same here. We live on the highway and we are always seeing rvs going by. A couple of weeks ago we were in Wendy's eating and a couple pulled up in the empty lot next store in a Class A towing a vehicle. They came into Wendys and sat down at a table after getting their food. DH asked me if he should go over and talk to them (just because they have an rv). As much as I wanted to I told him not too. But a universal sign would be great! We are bikers too and we always wave to other bikers on the street. Also, I always wonder if the rvs we pass is someone on here. I'll bet most are. If you ever travel on Rt. 301 (Crain Highway) in Upper Marlboro, you'll pass my house!

Drawer Refrigerator

I'm not sure this is the correct place to post this, but I was thinking about this the other night and I was making a mental note of things I'll soon be backing into the motorhome..instead of the standard refrigerator with the doors that swing open, how come makers don't put in refrigerator drawers, like the kind found in a lot of new homes today? It would be so much easier to open a drawer and not have everything spill out onto the floor. Opinions?

RE: Not many RV's and other vehicles traveling on hiways ?

I live on a main highway (rt. 301) and I have seen more rvs going up and down the highway that I've seen in a long time. It doesn't appear to me that the gas price has curtailed anybody's rv traveling. Just wish I could jump in mine and go with them.:C

roof

Our RV is parked next to our house. From the dinning room window I can look on top of the RV roof and today I noticed wrinkles or bubbles, whatever you want to call them on the roof. Since we are fairly new to taking care of an RV I'm freaking out a little bit. Is moisture/water getting under the roof? DH doesn't read this forums even though I've asked him a million times to, so I have to figure out the problem and relay it to him. So, could you all help me with this problem? The roof, not the husband, although, come to think of it, I'll advise for both! Thanks.

RE: With My Whole Heart, Thank You for My Freedom!!!

My son is currently on his second deployment in Iraq. He is my only son and I know, even though he gets embarrassed, that he appreciates people telling him "thank you." My uncle and dad were both in the Korean war; my dad survived, my uncle did not. He stepped on a land mine. It's so ironic; when the gulf war took place in the 90's my son was in the 4th grade writing to soldiers 'over there'. Now, he's 'over there' and he has grade school writing to him. Thank you men and women who served our Nation and is currently serving it now. Our nation is truly the home of the brave. And that includes those left behind on the homefront; they have their own problems to deal with! Happy July 4th!

RE: A Woman`s Issue

My husband takes care of the exterior of the motor home which includes washing, repairs and hookups and unhookups at campground. I take care of the inside stuff; cleaning, organizing, cooking, etc. But, when we pack for the trip, I pack all the food and essentials, my clothes and stuff I need and he packs his own clothes and stuff he wants to take. We both carry stuff to the motor home.

RE: Laundry Etiquette

I would have absolutely done the same thing. Who is he that people should wait on his time table? He's a jerk and I probably would hae told him so. LOL

This may not belong here, but...

I have seen some very cute solar light posts people have made from pvc pipe at various campsites that also holds a flag or whatever else they want on hang on it. And I'd like instruction on how to make one, but haven't found any yet. Also, I know we have a lot of crafty ladies here and I would like to see a special listing for us to be able to post pictures of the things we make either for the rv or while we are rving. So how about it??

RE: Update and really need advice...

I never sign a contract unless I have "deposit refundable" written in by hand by the sales person on the contract. My dad taught me that years ago. Personally, I would never buy a motorhome or vehicle for that matter unless I had the opportunity to test it, touch it and look very closely at it. Too much money is at stake and trust has nothing to do with it.

RE: Walmart deep cycle battery life short

It wasn't a Marine battery, but my daughter bought a car battery from Walmart. (We bought all our batteries at Walmart..never had trouble until now.) Her car completely clonked out at the Burger King drive through at mignight. We ran to Walmart, got a battery, put it in and car started right up. About a week later, daughter complained that her car didn't sound right starting up. She works for a car dealership so she had the mechanic check it. Even though it checked out ok on the first attempt, one cell was bad in it. Now, after reading your post, I don't think I'm going to trust their batteries anymore.

RE: Windshield Cover

We love ours. We used the inside curtain, too, because we didn't know about the windshield cover until we were at a campsite and saw some of them on other vehicles. I still use the inside cover as added privacy, but now if it falls down accidently I don't yell at the dh to "put it back up, quickly." LOL

RV Manners

Dh and I have been RVing here and there since last year. We really enjoy it and almost hate to come back home (but work calls). I've been reading about good rv manners such as not leaving porch lights on all night, etc. But I've also read that you shouldn't run your generator all night. Is that true? And what about the air conditioner. I'm a 50 year old woman starting through the change of life and I need to be cold....LOL....ladies, are you with me on this? *smile* Just wondering if I've been having "bad manners". What's the proper thing to do especially when they say at the parks quiet time begins at 10pm. Does that mean you can't run anything on your rv? Thanks.
